Recipe writing in P.1 & 2

P1 & 2 have been continuing their work in instructional writing! They now know that a recipe needs a list of ingredients, equipment and instructions. So today, in a shared writing session we wrote a recipe for Vegetable Broth. We then followed our recipe to make a delicious pot of soup which warmed us up after play time.

Today the children had to prepare a sandwich all on their own and then compose a recipe independently. They then had to wash up their dishes! I was so impressed by their recipe writing! Well done everyone.
