Our first Eco-Council meeting!

13th Sep 2016

Representatives from P.2 to P.7 met this afternoon to form our first ever Eco-council. Our new Eco-councillors will now meet often to discuss ways to make Seaview Primary School an environmentally friendly school.

The first meeting was a brainstorming session and here are the notes Darach Bradley made from the meeting:

  • Use both sides of the paper when printing
  • Flower beds in the playground need repaired and replanted
  • Fix the bird feeders
  • Make nest boxes.
  • Make a bug hotel
  • Compost bin
  • Plant vegetables
  • Have a wormery.

We are on the look out for a parent/community member Eco-councillor so please let us know if you are interested. Also if you can help in any way with any of the above ideas, we would be most grateful.

Next meeting: Tuesday 20th September at 1.30pm (to be confirmed)
